This feature is started to roll out on Andriod & iOS devices for nearly 2000 tolls in India, US, Japan and Indonesia.

With this new feature, users will able to find the estimated toll cost to their destination even before the trip starts.

According to press release, Google Mpas will estimate the total toll price to your destination based on the factors like the cost of using a toll pass or other payments

methods and how much the toll is expected to cost at the specific time the user will be crossing it.

However, for those who do not wish to pay tolls, Google will also show an alternative route option of a toll-free route. This can be accessed by tapping on three dots at the right top corner in Google Maps and selecting the 'Avoid tolls'.

Additionally, Google had also released new features for iOS users to make Google Maps easier to use on Apple Watch or iPhone. The new update include a new pinned trip widget, direct navigation from the Apple Watch, and Google Maps integration into Siri and the shortcuts.

Further, Apple Watch users will soon be able to get directions on Google Maps directly from their Watch. Google says that in a few weeks, users won’t have to being navigation from their iPhone—tapping on the Google Maps shortcut on their Apple Watch app will launch the navigation automatically on the Apple Watch itself. It should be noted that the new functionalities will be available on the latest version of the Google Maps app.

Google continoues to Improvies and add new features on Maps for its users to save the money on fuel, and we are likely to see more options on the platform soon.

Maps has shown signs that it will have an option where you can choose the type of your car’s engine. So, if you have a petrol, diesel, hybrid or even an electric car, Maps will be able to help you with the best route for your travel.

It could be quite effective to have such filters, especially with fuel prices going up at regular pace these days. Maps already has route selection based on the mode of transport such as cars, bikes, public transport with booking sites or even by foot with estimated travel time.

Either way, we are eager to see how and when Google roll out this feature on Maps. Having said that, the report is quick to suggest that Google could decide against bringing the feature to everyone, especially if its results don’t meet its expectations.

Don't have a Good Day, Have a Great Day...:-)
